Driver's Licence

To drive in TAY, you need a valid driver's licence. Foreign nationals require a passport.

Getting a driver's licence

To apply for a driver's licence in TAY, you must be at least 13 years old and pass a written examination. After passing the written examination, you will be granted a learner's permit which allows you to practice driving under the supervision of a licenced adult.

Driving Test

After holding the learner's permit for a minimum of six months, you are eligible to take the driving test. The driving test evaluates your ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and observe traffic laws.

Renewal and Expiration

Driver's licences in TAY expire after five years and must be renewed. The renewal process includes verifying your personal information, passing a vision test, and paying a renewal fee.
